About

So you’ve stumbled across my page and want to know a little more about the man behind the legend?

I’m an engineer living in Columbus, OH. I hold a BS in Materials Science and Engineer from Georgia Tech but obviously my interests go far beyond just materials engineering. On my site you might find something materials related (glass, textiles/composites, and metals are my areas of interest) but I also enjoy food, movies, books, men’s clothing, etc. So be forewarned, I may write about damn near anything. I’ll do my best to keep things entertaining though.

So what does “Nadsat” mean and why is it the name of the site? Nadsat is the name of the slang spoken by the main character in Anthony Burgess’s novel, A Clockwork Orange. A Clockwork Orange is one of my favorite books (not a bad movie either). It is a mix between English, Russian, and some other slavic slang spoken in almost melodic fashion. I don’t think there is much more meaning behind that. The name is unique and it stuck, so here I am today.
