Podcast Addiction

I grew up listening to talk radio.  Growing up in Raleigh the radio was always on 680 WPTF in my dad’s car.  We even listened to the weekend gardner despite the fact that neither of us had any interest in gardening.  In school in Atlanta my radio was locked into 750 WSB (except on uga game days, ugh).  I feel like I’m rare breed, an AM radio listener under the age of 30.  There must be others out there like me though or podcasts would not be so popular.

Away We Go

While watching Away We Go this weekend, I noticed something interesting in the wardrobe choice for John Krasinski’s character.

Look a little closer at the watch he’s sporting, that band looks familiar doesn’t it?

Perhaps John Krasinski is a Nadsat reader?  Fine choice, Mr Krasinski.  The movie was enjoyable too.

Prefab Homes

Prefabs homes are nothing new.  A prefab home is simply one that has the major components prefabricated ahead of time away from the build site and then finally assembly takes place on the actual home site.  This has been around for a long time in the form of modular or manufactured homes.  I remember growing up there was always one builder who had a manufactured home display at the North Carolina State Fair in Raleigh.  These were typically marketed as a step up from a mobile home.  On the other hand, the term “prefab” implies a more modern, stylish, green, and unfortunately more expensive home.
