This article on columbusING relays a story on CNN travel about how Columbus, OH is a hot travel destination.

Alright, maybe not a “hot” destination but certainly a worthy one. I’ve only been here for a couple weeks but I’ve enjoyed learning the area thus far and look forward to more exploring. It has a lot more character than I expected. As I spend more time here I’ll continue to relay my thoughts on the city and the people.

Zachary, You will enjoy being in a hotly contested state for the election. I’m in a hotly contested small state and we get an insane amount of attention. I get to the point where I’m expecting these guys to come ring my doorbell. And you feel like your vote really counts, unlike living in New York or Texas where the outcome is usually predetermined.

That is a good point and one I hadn’t thought to mention yet. I am already registered to vote! There’s been word that Ohio might be especially important this year since McCain might choose Crist as a running mate and thus lock up Florida for the Republicans.
Pretty good article. Ohio has a lot more big cities than I realized. I wonder if someone thought up the ‘columbusing.com’ domain on their own or if it is inspired from somewhere else. We used to have a ‘raleighing.com’ site but the owner shut it down.
Funny, I have family that lives in Raleigh, and I use to live in Durham and Chapel Hill, however, ColumbusING was not borrowed from RaleighING. But two great cities think alike.
Columbus, eh? I’m moving there in the next month or two. Any real men’s stores carrying good trad stuff?
Josh,
There’s a Brooks Brothers at Polaris Fashion Mall. That’s all I’ve seen so far but I’ve only been here a couple weeks. Shoot me an email if you like (address is on the contact page) when you get into town. Do you know what area you are living in yet?
Not sure yet where we’ll live, but we’re probably going to concentrate our efforts in Clintonville.
